Role: Security Engineer (Cyber Security)
San Antonio, TX (Hybrid) (Locals CA or TX Only)

Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
Over 8 years of IT experience is required.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a Cyber Security role.
Strong background working with security technologies: firewalls, intrusion detection, anti-virus, vulnerability scanning and remediation, security log and event management, network traffic analysis, etc.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Shell Scripting is a must
Experience in AWS is essential.
Experience in data mining and analyzing logs using Python is required.
Technical knowledge of common information security tools and systems: Firewall/VPN, endpoint protection etc.
Hands-on experience configuring multiple operating systems, databases, security platforms, and system integrations.
Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, MCSE, RHCE, CCNP, CCSP) is a plus.
Responsibilities
Serve as information security subject matter expert and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into development and operational processes.
Perform security risk assessments and lead remediation efforts.
Create solutions for security issues.
Analyze audit findings and make recommendations to lower risk to acceptable levels.
Ensure that security changes comply with company change management policies and procedures.
Automate security processes and tasks to achieve efficiency.
Implement and manage security measures to protect systems, networks, and data.
