Job description

Job Title: Game Designer

Location: Remote, US based, PST hours

Pay Range: $50-$55 per hour

Contract Length: 3-6 months

Job Description: As a Game Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the creative vision and design direction of our mobile games. Leveraging your extensive experience in game design and industry standards, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling and immersive gaming experiences.

Responsibilities:

  1. Game Design Expertise: Utilize your 6+ years of hands-on game design experience to develop innovative game concepts and mechanics for mobile platforms.

  2. Industry Standards: Demonstrate expertise in communicating mobile game industry standards such as core loops, First-Time User Experience (FTUE), and "games as a service" model.

  3. Design Proposals: Generate a variety of design proposals based on creative directives, ensuring alignment with project goals and target audience preferences.

  4. Design Documentation: Create comprehensive design documentation that outlines game mechanics, systems, and economies to optimize player engagement, retention, and overall game performance.

  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with UX, Art, Engineering, and Production teams to drive feature design from initial proposal through implementation, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives.

  6. Iterative Design: Iterate on feedback from stakeholders and playtesting sessions to refine and enhance game mechanics and features, maintaining up-to-date design documentation throughout the development cycle.
