About the Role & Team
The Sourcing Specialist will be part of a sourcing team responsible for sourcing & procurement activities related to Materials Repair and Operational (MRO) supplies and services category. Responsibilities include client management, category management, and supplier management. Our team’s mission is to bring to Disney the best the marketplace has to offer! This person will be accountable for partnering with various team members and supporting sourcing initiatives that achieve value without compromising business strategy and performance.
What You Will Do
Develop and lead RFI and RFP process for goods and services under the MRO category in accordance with policy and procedures.
Evaluate total cost analysis to find opportunities in achieving optimal value and financial benefit
Prepare, and implement clear, structured negotiations following pre-defined Strategic Sourcing methodology
Execute/implement contracts as well as perform relevant post-award administration.
Lead cross-functional sourcing projects that meet internal client’s requirements while adhering to Strategic Sourcing’s principles and practices
Understand, analyze and assess marketing industry trends and conditions that affect pricing, availability, lead time, quality, etc. Continually assess market conditions and develop sourcing strategies that increase value to the Company.
Communicate and report to management the status of any critical external relationships that could adversely affect planning and decision-making
Understand and assist in the development and execution of supplier performance and relationship management programs that focus on quality, service responsiveness, financial benefit, innovation and cost
Assist with Annual Strategy Planning development;
Demonstrate outstanding integrity and ethics in all instances
Develop, implement, monitor and report status, performance measures that demonstrate value and ensure supplier performance
Required Qualifications & Skills
3-5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing and/or Supply Chain disciplines
Familiarity with Strategic Sourcing, Procurement or Supply Chain Management on Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO)
Prior work experience within Hospitality, Entertainment, Manufacturing, or similar industries
Proven ability to establish relationships/partnerships with partners and suppliers and work in a collaborative environment
Ability to optimally lead a cross-functional team through strategic sourcing engagements that include complicated analysis, strategy development, negotiation and implementation
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills customizable to meet multiple audience needs (e.g., peers, clients, executives and suppliers)
Internal customer focus – ability to identify/solicit key partner needs and develop solutions to address their needs
Ability/desire to work in a diverse environment
Strong organizational and time management skills to lead multiple projects
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (esp. Excel, PowerPoint), SAP, Coupa, etc.
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to deal with ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting various categories under MRO.
Knowledge of/ and the ability to understand, interpret and communicate: BLS Indexes, economic reports, Dunn & Bradstreet reports, etc.
Ability to build highly compelling arguments
Ability to drive projects to conclusion
Ability to collaborate on ideation and supplier innovation
Education
Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or other quantitative field; or equivalent job experience
Master’s degree (i.e. MBA) or other quantitative discipline (i.e. MS), a plus
Professional certification in C.P.S.M., Logistics or S.C.M. a plus
