Human Resources Business Partner
Provide Human Resources support to the Business Units of the E&I Division.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Acquisition/Recruiting
- Prepare job descriptions, publication of job ads and involvement in recruitment processes.
- Ensure that the law on data protection, non-discrimination, equal opportunities, etc is complied with.
- Propose, develop, implement and promote actions aimed at attracting and retaining talent and employer branding.
Personnel Administration
- Explaining employment conditions to potential candidates or pre-hires.
- Preparation of offer letters and/or employment contracts,
- Onboarding of employees, launch and monitoring of technical training courses as well as that required at the Applus group level.
- Communication and coordination with Centricity (payroll provider) of hirings, terminations and employee changes.
- Implement mechanisms to monitor hours worked, days of leave, vacations, etc.
Payroll
- With the support of Rippling (Centricity´s payroll tool) run, review, and approve all payroll groups for E&I Division.
- Register all payroll variables, such as absences, leaves, bonuses, reimbursements, etc.
- Ensure appropriate coordination between Rippling reports and finance (FSS).
Benefits
- Administration and management of health insurance and 401k plans.
- Ensure that legislation regarding benefits is complied with, considering different Divisions and legal entities operating in the US.
- Review and control over the expiration dates of benefit plans.
Labor Relations
- Ensure that the company complies with the labor regulatory framework at the State and Federal level in the USA.
- Preparation and maintenance of HR policies and Handbook.
- Provide support and be a point of contact for incidents and/or legal and administrative requirements that may arise.
- Prepare, publish and update policies for States that require it and ensure compliance.
- Guarantee the implementation and application of the policies and procedures approved at the Group, Division and/or Region level.
- Act as point of contact and HR Advisor for internal clients, employees and external clients.
- Advice, proposal, and execution of disciplinary measures.
- Classification of employees according to applicable legislation (exempt/non-exempt, Directors/Indirect, Billables/non-billable, Union/non-Union, etc.)
- Control over the application of the regulations applicable to workers and work centers.
Immigration
- Ensure that all employees/contractors comply with US immigration laws and have the corresponding work permits and visas to be able to work.
- Support in the application of visas for workers or contractors at the request of other legal entities of the group.
- Support for obtaining the Blanket (in progress).
Tax and Reporting:
- Review and monitoring of the labor tax report on a quarterly and/or monthly basis as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all reports that must be reported at the state and federal level (Non Discrimination, IRD, etc.).
- Prepare, review and send internal reporting (KPIs, etc.) to HQ.
Others
- Periodic meetings (one to one) at least monthly with HR Director E&I to follow up.
- Participation in conferences, and external/internal forums on behalf of E&I.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Must have 5+ years of experience working as a Human Resources Generalist or Human Resources Business Partner.
- Solid experience in different areas of human resources (labor relations, compensation, talent management, payroll and benefits administration, etc.).
- Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
- The ability to collaborate, communicate, actively engage in team discussions, and effectively work with others to reach a common goal.
- The ability to clearly and professionally articulate ideas, responses, and feedback both written and verbally.
- Experience working in a matrix organization is a plus
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Law.
