Job description
As a Security Analyst at Mercalis, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets and ensuring the integrity of our information systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cybersecurity, a deep understanding of emerging threats, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough security assessments and risk analysis of our IT infrastructure, applications, and networks.
- Develop and implement robust security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect against threats.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts, incidents, and events to identify potential security issues and respond in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into the development and deployment processes.
- Lead incident response efforts and investigations to identify the root cause of security incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging threats, and security technologies to enhance the organization's security posture continuously.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a security analyst role, focusing on network and application security.
- Proficient in using cloud-based security tools and technologies, including Splunk, Qualys, and Microsoft 0365, is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and willing to take initiative on multiple company projects.
Certifications (Desired, but not required):
CISA, CISSP, or CRISC
