We are recruiting a full time Special Education Teachers that have a desire to work with school aged students whose grades can range from 6 th to 8 th grade. The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for effectively collaborating with the student s academic support team to compose Individualized Education Plans for each student on the caseload. The Special Education teacher will also be responsible for monitoring student goals and preparing quarterly progress reports.
Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to students in a resource setting
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
Conduct assessments to determine student needs and progress
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation
The Special Education Teacher will collaborate with other educators support staff and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the unique needs of each student
For this opportunity you will be working with students in elementary school grade levels
Develop implement and regularly update IEPs for students with special needs ensuring that goals and objectives are tailored to individual learning requirements
Collaborate with parents general education teachers and support staff to gather input and ensure comprehensive planning
Design and implement effective instructional strategies that accommodate the diverse learning styles and abilities of students with special needs
Certified Special Education Teacher
Experience working in resource settings
Knowledge of diverse teaching strategies for students with special needs
Strong collaboration and communication skills
