Job description
We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join the team. Our client specializes in the food industry, providing top-notch service and maintenance for industrial equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site maintenance, including installing and testing equipment, troubleshooting issues, making repairs, and teaching our customers how to operate their equipment. This role requires weekly travel throughout the Midwest, with a company car, laptop, cell phone, and uniform provided.
Responsibilities
- Provide field service support for industrial (electric) equipment
- Fabricate, install, and maintain manufacturing systems
- Diagnose, commission, and repair manufacturing equipment
- Analyze and troubleshoot electrical issues
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment
- Collaborate with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Write, modify, and troubleshoot equipment that requires PLC software
Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience as an industrial electrician
- Strong customer service skills
- Understanding of electrical control and mechanical systems
- Basic understanding of thermal dynamics to support oven applications (preferred)
- Familiarity with fabricating and installing electrical components
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Compensation
The salary for this position ranges from $35-$45 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications.
