Boehringer Ingelheim has a Director Commercial Compliance Business Partner opportunity available. This personal independently supports key strategic approaches for Compliance across Market Access, Specialty Care and/ or other related areas. In this role you will have the opportunity to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of an effective compliance program. As a partner you will support the business in risk assessment and analysis and continuously evaluate risk areas and priorities to guide compliance goals and efforts. As a key member of both the commercial and the compliance teams, this person will also monitor the external environment to ensure the implementation of best practices to appropriately mitigate risk and create a collaborative and forward-thinking partnership.

This role has a flexible hybrid onsite work schedule in our Ridgefield, CT dependent on business needs.

Compensation Data

This position offers a base salary typically between $167,000 and $289,000.  The position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance based bonus and or other compensation elements.  For an overview of our benefits please click here. (

Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities

Expertise and experience in leading and/or supporting Commercial, Market Access and/or Specialty Care organizations.

Knowledge of US Pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech industry regulations and therapeutic areas, as well as the nuances of business culture that impact business processes and compliance.

Commercial acumen and understanding of the US government, market, health systems and payor dynamics.

Ability to work independently to resolve issues and demonstrate excellent professional judgment and accountability.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others, the agility to rapidly adapt to changing conditions and the ability to drive results

Experience leading and developing teams and/or projects of material risk/scope/complexity with minimal supervision

Strong interpersonal, management and influencing skills and experience, including the proven ability to lead and influence outside scope of authority.

Specializing in Commercial Compliance, Market Access, Patient Services or other related areas.

Experience in one or more of the following areas; national and regional accounts, channel strategy and accounts, payor marketing, pricing and access strategy, specialty pharmacy, specialty therapeutic areas (such as oncology, biosimilars or orphan drugs); payor and distributor contracting, HUB and reimbursement services, co-pay cards, specialty pharmacy data services, and nurse educators and other nurse-based services.

Focus on the following functional areas; national and regional accounts, channel strategy and accounts, payor marketing, pricing and access strategy, specialty pharmacy, and distributor contracting, HUB and reimbursement services, co-pay cards, specialty pharmacy data services, and nurse educators and other nurse-based services.

Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MSc) in Business Administration, Legal and/or Doctoral degree(s) (e.g., JD, PhD or LLM) in Law.

Industry certifications a plus - (e.g., HCCA or SCCE)
