Principal Scientist - Cell Engineering

Job description
My client is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven, collaborative and experienced individual with strong iPSC and cell engineering background. The successful candidate will be accountable for establishing control laboratory operation for iPSC seed stock production. This role requires dedication to drive science, ability to multitask, excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and research associates.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Cell engineering of primary T cells, iPSC and iPSC-derived T cells using various gene delivery methods, including but not limited to CRISPR KO/KI, lentivirus/gamma retrovirus transduction.
- Support the therapeutic development of T cell products derived from iPSCs.
- Design and execute experimental plans for the development and optimization of the hypoimmune iPSC platform.
- Process development of iPSC multiplex editing and single cell cloning process. Establish in-house control laboratory operation to manufacture genetically modified iPSC seed stock for pipeline.
- Write SOP, technical reports, and develop appropriate documentation for processes.
- Analyze, interpret, and effectively present data at team meetings
Requirements and Experiences - A minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in relevant roles in academia/industry, preferably in allogeneic cell therapy space
- Strong hands-on experience with iPSC culture, gene editing and single cell cloning.
- Knowledge of GxPs, past experience in process development or GMP operation is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within established timelines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical in the fast-face and collaborative working environment.
- Demonstrated accountability and flexibility to change project objectives quickly and enthusiastically.
