Hospice Nurse Benefits
Pay starting at $47 per hour for LPNs and $60 per hour for RNs
13-week contract to direct hire

Responsibilities
Care for individual based on personalized plan of care
Informs director of nursing and any other appropriate personnel of changes in the client’s conditions and needs
Counsels client and family through the hospice care process while updating family on a regular basis
Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws
Participates in agency performance improvement activities and continuously staying informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care
Requirements
Current unrestricted LPN or RN license in the state of Illinois
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Must have graduated from a National League of Nursing accredited program
Have experience with clients on ventilators and maintaining the settings.
Must have experience with tracheotomy care and suctioning.
One year of document hospice experience required. Three to five (3-5) years of clinical experience with one year experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility preferred
Current driver’s license with reliable car and auto insurance
CPR certified – American Heart Association/Red Cross
Current physical and negative TB test/chest x-ray
Clean background and criminal record
Understands regulatory compliance with state and federal regulations
Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
