We are looking for a full-time bilingual (English/Spanish) Nurse Practitioner in Humble, TX . As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering advanced nursing care, diagnosing and treating illnesses, interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and ensuring patient education and preventive care to foster optimal health outcomes across diverse healthcare settings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Provide continuous care to patients and management of common and important clinical problems encountered in a primary care setting
• Educates patient about preventative care, prescribed treatments, and disease management
• Perform initial patient screenings, patient history, physical examinations, and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines in accordance with the Texas Board of Nursing and American Association of Nurse Practitioners
• Update patient records and check records for accuracy at each patient appointment
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs
• Performs physical exams, ordering lab work and tests, prescribing medications, ensuring the patient receives the correct dosage of medication
• Record physical findings and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition
• Review lab, x-ray, and emergency reports daily
• Determine the need for patient follow-up appointments and further treatment options
• Refer patients for specialist services, as needed
• Deliver quality care while maintaining all company metrics pertaining to productivity
• Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, counseling and provide guidance for any patients with critical conditions
• Discusses and coordinates with other internal health professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan
• Submits health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review and evaluation
• Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures
• Treat acute diseases such as cold, flu, and infections
• Treat and manage chronic diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes
• Cooperate with operational initiatives for improvement of the business

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Bilingual English/Spanish Required
• Must be able to make sound judgment based on assessment and data available and act accordingly.
• Must be able to be flexible, innovative, and work independently.
• Must possess skills for computer usage and written and oral communication.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize multiple functions or tasks
• Must have tolerance for unpredictable circumstances and usual stress of coping with the human nature of staff and patients

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate of an accredited Advanced Nursing Program
• Current RN license for the State of Texas
• Licensed Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the State of Texas
• Board Certified FNP
• Prescriptive authority privileges through the State of Texas
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification

WORK HOURS:

• On-site position
• Monday to Friday
• 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
