How Is This Role Important to Our Work?
This position is responsible for creating relevant and compelling messaging for company-wide brand initiatives including a wide variety of materials and sales collateral. Build content published in digital and print channels and face-to-face communications. Assist in developing content library and engage teams on how to use content library and brand guidelines.
A Day in the Life:
- Develop messaging appropriate to audience and channel; write and edit a wide variety of content for a wide range of formats; apply brand voice consistently across all materials.
- Partner with broader marketing and sales team to inform strategy and help implement effective broker, client and member communications.
- Collaborate with graphic designers to ensure compelling presentation of content.
- Participate in brainstorming and ideation sessions; see opportunities to improve messaging.
- Work under general guidance; seek guidance on more complex tasks.
- Prioritize and organize own work to meet timelines.
- Assist in developing content rules and templates.
- Assist sales team in answering Prospective Clients' RFP questions using a content library and other resources (as needed)
- Serve as a resource to team and cross functional partners.
- Participate in cross functional projects as contributor and voice of the brand.
- Contribute to creating an engaged, inclusive team environment.
- Assist in online and digital efforts for the website while managing content for SEO purposes.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or journalism.
- Ability to translate complex subject matter into consumer language.
- Track record of being an integral member of a cross-functional marketing team.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- 3+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
- Knows and applies the fundamental concepts of copywriting.
- Expert knowledge of a content writing and intermediate understanding of brand standards, visual communications, production, creative, business and strategic principles, to ensure alignment with strategy.
- Ability to communicate clearly and optimally; strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize projects and juggle changing priorities while working under tight timelines
- Proven personal computer skills in the use of a suite of software tools (such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and project management tools!
Role Designation:
Hybrid Remote
Role designation definition: Teleworking is working full time remote. Hybrid is a combination of working onsite and remotely. Onsite is full-time onsite.
