Established Independent Multi-Specialty Practice Seeking a Full Time Ultrasound/Echo Tech to join our Team!

Ultrasound / Echo Vascular Technologist

The selected Full Time Ultrasound/Echo Tech will perform ultrasonic examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by Provider. Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques for radiologic diagnosis. Responsible for the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound procedures. Ensures that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with satisfaction patient identification obtained prior to conducting procedure. Performs all procedures according to departmental protocol. Will need to work independently.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Dedicated to serving the BMC’s patients with a professional and respectful demeanor.
• Perform echocardiography, doppler and color flow on patients.
• Assist the physician in cardiac echo stress testing.
• Maintain the GE equipment necessary for all echo testing.
• Order supplies needed for his/her area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• This is a Full Time Float position working in the Triad North Carolina area

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Associates degree in Echocardiography or a related field
• ARRT, ARDMS and/or CCI Registration or registry available 
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer(RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer(RDMS) certification preferred.
• Current BLS required, ACLS preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting performing ultrasound strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills; verbal and written.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse patient population.
• Professional aptitude, presentation and demeanor.
