The HU Healthcare Studies Program is seeking to compile a pool of qualified candidates interested in teaching Introduction to Healthcare Studies, Medical Terminology, Public Health, and Healthcare Law and Ethics. Such opportunities are dependent upon the needs of the University. Assignments may require teaching day, evening, or online classes as needed. Examples of Duties

Adjunct Professor – Introduction to Healthcare Studies
Husson University seeks an adjunct professor to teach the course Introduction to Healthcare Studies, which will typically be taught on line. The course provides an overview of healthcare in the United States including the structure of the healthcare delivery system, key national and state health policy issues, and how healthcare is financed. Population and public health approaches to ensuring the health of the population are also be examined.
Adjunct Professor – Medical Terminology
Husson University seeks an adjunct professor to teach the course Medical Terminology, which is taught on line. This course is designed to give the student a comprehensive vocabulary of medical language by analyzing the root forms, prefixes, and suffixes of medical terms associated with different parts of the body and their associated physiological systems.
Adjunct Professor – Public HealthHusson University seeks an adjunct professor to teach the course Introduction to Public Health, which is currently taught in both traditional face to face and online formats. Public Health is designed to introduce students to the current field of public health in the United States, focusing on key areas of study, intervention, and organizational structure of agencies involved in public health.
Adjunct Professor – Healthcare Law and EthicsHusson University seeks an adjunct professor to teach the course Healthcare Law and Ethics, which is currently taught in a traditional face to face format. The course will also be offered on line within the next 18 months. Healthcare Law and Ethics is designed for students to learn major laws and regulations which impact the delivery of healthcare, as well us ethical principles that guide clinical practitioners and administrators in healthcare.Typical Qualifications

Education and Experience:Adjunct Professor – Introduction to Healthcare Studies
Candidates are required to have a doctoral or master’s degree in public health, health administration, health policy, or related field.
Adjunct Professor – Medical Terminology
Candidates are required to have a doctoral or master’s degree in a clinical health profession, public health, medical education, or closely related field.
Adjunct Professor – Public HealthCandidates are required to have a doctoral or master’s degree in a clinical health profession, public health, medical education, or closely related field.
Adjunct Professor – Healthcare Law and EthicsCandidates are required to have a doctoral or master’s degree in public health, health administration, health policy, ethics, or a related field.
