Job Overview


Hospitalist PRN to join a permanent practice in Indiana

The PRN Hospitalist will work exclusively in the inpatient setting.


Traditional PRN Schedule


Short shifts ( e.g. post call) of approximately 8 hours


Regular/longer shifts of 10 - 12 hours on non-call days


On call days, Hospitalist covers on-site for 10 - 12 hours, followed by remote/from home call; Patient acuity may occasionally require a return trip to the hospital


Call is remote/from home, unless patient acuity dictates return to hospital


Weekend call starts on Friday morning and ends Sunday afternoon at 5 pm


You will be the only doctor in-house during that time with the exception of ER physicians


Position has autonomy and allows responsibility for all aspects of care with general medicine patients admitted through ER
