Job description
We are seeking a R&D Lab Assistant to help support in executing daily R&D related activities. This individual will collaborate with other departments to ensure completion of projects from start to finish with precision.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with R&D in composing instructions for production.
- Assists in validation of lots in production for pilot and initial scale-up lots.
- Collect data and parameters during the processing and update for current/future production lots.
- Work with all R&D team when assistance is required with other dosage forms.
- Execute the instructions when necessary and instructed by the R&D staff.
- Assist in flavor and R&D related and production related support where applicable.
- Carries out all assigned lab work that may include running tests, making evaluations, validations, and documentation of new and ongoing projects.
- Assists in preparation and testing of samples and pilot batches.
- Assists in documentation and provides reports regarding projects, lab tests, results, and other R&D activities.
- Performs and records daily calibrations of testing equipment/instruments.
- Maintains lab records and documents.
- Maintains and organizes lab samples and raw material samples.
- Maintains workstations, equipment, and all utilized work areas.
- Assists in data entry.
- Collaborates and coordinates with all departments, as needed.
- Assists in conducting stability tests, as needed.
- Participates in QA and regulatory undertakings, as needed.
- Follows and adheres to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Standard Safety Practices, and all company policies/procedures.
- Completes other projects and tasks as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2-6 months of R&D laboratory experience or related field preferred.
- High School Diploma.
- Good verbal and communication skills – able to speak clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective department operations and provide exceptional customer service. English proficient.
- Ability to follow instructions, work well with others in a group setting.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Computer Skills (Intermediate) – MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet.
