Job description
Financial Analyst – Stafford, VA
Seeking a Financial Analyst, with a strong background in analytical and administrative tasks supporting DoD / DON / USMC acquisition program financial/budget planning and execution. Duties include:
- Provide direct support to Assistant Program Managers for Finance, Team Leads, Project Officers, and Financial Analysts
- Assist with development of spend plans, budget exhibits, Procurement Requests, Below Threshold Realignments and monitors tasks to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned program(s)
- Support Program Objectives Memorandum (POM) development
- Support development and maintenance of program documents tracking authorized, available, and liquidated funds.
- Develop and maintain auditable financial records and assist in responding to financial audit requests and the research and closing of unliquidated obligations.
- Interact regularly with other team representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree; years of experience commensurate with the level:
- Junior/Entry Level: Any candidate not meeting all the Mid or Senior level requirements will be categorized as Junior/Entry – Level.
- Mid-Level: 5 to 9 years of relevant experience; +5 additional years combination of education, professional training, or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Equivalent to practitioner tier in DAWIA BUS functional area
- Senio-Level: 10+ years of experience; 5 years equivalent combination of education, professional training, or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Equivalent to advanced tier in DAWIA BUS functional area
- Experience with MCSC policies, processes, and environments and in developing acquisition documentation to support programs in achieving required milestones/events
- Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team of Government and non-Government personnel is required.
- Experience with financial tools and databases such as PR Builder, SMARTS, CERBERUS, SABRS, Shared Data Warehouse, PMT-AMS, and ADVANA is required for Mid and Senior positions. Prior exp using and/or providing support for multiple systems in various phases of the acquisition cycle including C2, Network, Amphibious Assault, and Mobile Tactical Shelter/Mobile Command Vehicle systems is desired.
- Excellent MS Office skills and expertise in MS Excel and database functionality are required.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, “go-getter” attitude, and a passion for the Marine Corps mission are required.
- Strong oral/written communication skills, and analytical capabilities are required.
- DoD SECRET clearance is desired. Eligibility for DoD SECRET clearance is required.
Salary Range - $40,000 to $100,000
