Job description
We are a firm of experienced trial lawyers focusing on personal injury. Our attorneys bring decades of experience to their practice, as well as a long track record of success in even the most complex of cases. We help people who have been hurt in motor vehicle accidents, hurt on the job, and victims of any kind of negligence where their life has been turned upside down. We're looking for an experienced paralegal to support our personal injury cases in the Tampa, FL area.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in a dynamic working environment. The ideal candidate must possess superb organizational and analytical skills, as well as demonstrate an understanding of the legal field. The Litigation Paralegal must be able to perform tasks such as legal research, document review, and issue spotting. This role requires excellent interpersonal and multitasking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform legal research and fact gathering to support attorneys throughout all stages of litigation.
Organize documents, exhibits, and other materials for trial.
Organize pleadings, contracts, and other legal documents.
Locate and interview potential witnesses.
Prepare and file legal documents such as motions, briefs, pleadings, and memorandums.
Assist with document production.
Provide case analysis and legal advice.
Perform document review using software such as Relativity, Trial Director, and other programs.
Prepare and analyze legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
Assist with deposition preparation and trial preparation.
Prepare and organize materials for court hearings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Certificate in paralegal studies.
2+ years of experience as a paralegal in a litigation setting.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience with document management software.
Familiarity with legal research tools.
