Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain security protocols and procedures to safeguard company systems and data.
- Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and security breaches, and respond promptly to security incidents.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the IT infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Manage and administer security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and provide guidance on security-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, and recommend appropriate countermeasures.
- Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, and resolution of security breaches.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on security awareness and best practices.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security administration, with a focus on systems security.
- In-depth knowledge of network security protocols, encryption techniques, and authentication mechanisms.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and antivirus solutions.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and experience implementing security controls to achieve compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record of leading security initiatives and managing security incidents in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with cloud security principles and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic and challenging environment.
