What is the Opportunity?
You will provide support to the U.S. Regulatory Relations Team (“Team”) to maintain effective U.S. regulatory relations with the Federal Reserve and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (“OCC”) and compliance program for RBC’s prudential regulator ongoing supervision, continuous monitoring, and exams.
What will you do?
Regulatory Engagements (Requests, Meetings, and Exams)
Centralize and manage the receipt, response, and follow-up for regulatory engagements related to RBC.
Field and help distribute verbal and written requests from various regulatory agencies, including engagements initiated by regulatory agencies.
Work closely with various key internal stakeholders and subject matter experts engaged in regulatory activities to develop and maintain relationships.
Connect the dots across risk areas and identify and escalate emerging issues and trends associated with regulatory engagements and areas prioritized by regulatory bodies to the Team.
Support the RBC Lead Exam Coordinator on Federal Reserve and OCC exams.
Enhance, help manage, and quality control the Team’s regulatory engagement recordkeeping system, as applicable.
Enhance and manage the Team’s metrics reporting.
Assist in the management of direct contacts with regulators.
Facilitate and summarize regular meetings with regulators and industry peers.
Internal Reporting
Prepare, summarize, collate, and streamline reporting that communicates regulatory engagement activity and issues.
Serve as the point of contact for regulatory engagement reporting, including collecting updates, obtaining reporting approvals, and managing reporting related questions.
Aid in the creation and maintenance of metrics reporting detailing U.S. Regulatory Relations themes and trends in regulatory engagements.
Additional Responsibilities
Lead special projects, as assigned.
Be the central point of contact, and as required, create and update the Team’s documentation, including manuals, training materials, and communications.
Monitor internal and external exam management systems and manage data input in exam management related tools.
What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Legal, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
3-5 years of relevant experience
Excellent judgment and analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Effective organization skills, including the ability to prioritize between tasks and deadlines
Ability to interact with senior management and in team setting
Attention to detail and accuracy are essential
Solid Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, as well as general Microsoft Office skills

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $80,000 - $120,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
