The Technical Product Manager is responsible for defining and driving the product vision, roadmap, and execution by collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric software solutions and meet business objectives. Requires familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices, service-oriented architecture, and product analytics.
The Lead Tech Product Manager is single point of contact for the lifecycle of the epic performing the role of the BSSe Program Lead Product Manager.
Responsibilities include:
• Works to refine and decompose the Epic to ensure alignment with our Business/Product Owners, Planning STE’s, System/Solution Architects and testing teams and their Feature delivery roadmaps. Accountable for the Epic delivery to drive delivery of an Epic throughout the lifecycle.
• Works with needed collaborators (architecture, UX, STEs) to define the solution context and develops the solution vision, roadmap with needed capabilities & features. Assures desirability and viability of the solution, ensuring solution context & intent is defined and MVP success criteria.
• Fosters collaboration across the organization (before Pre PI and thereafter) to break down customer journey outcomes for key initiatives and Epic hypothesis statements, including understanding architectural runways, NFRs, CX, UX needs, etc.
• Collaborates with business owners and STEs to decompose the Epic into Features; ensuring all needed teams are involved and collaborating as needed, supporting tradeoff discussion and negotiations of timing.
• Facilitates epic grooming and solution intent reviews.
• Manages and creates Change Requests as needed for epic solution approach.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience in a product management/product owner role in an Agile environment or Business Analyst experience.
SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or SAFe Agilist (SA) certification is highly preferred.
Collaboration and facilitation experience in highly technical, software development and/or wireless/telecom industry
Proficiency in the use of written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present complex technical information in a clear manner to peers, developers, and senior leaders.
Key technical skills: Advanced Excel skills, QuickBase, MS Project, ADO (Azure DevOps), Jira (CDEX), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), SharePoint
Our Lead Tech Product Mgr earns between $143,800.00-$215,800.00., Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
