Job description
Thank you for your interest in the Minister of Worship position here at First Baptist Lexington, TN. This is a full-time position that is available following the retirement of Rev. Bob Hull after serving for 17 years. The worship ministry at FBC is multifaceted, large, and growing. We have a good size Adult Worship Choir who not only sings and leads on Sunday, but is also actively engaged in ongoing mission and ministry projects. We have a large student ministry choir, TESTIFY, which also is actively involved in many mission and ministry projects. Our children’s choir, SHINE, is large and led by lay volunteers under the direction of the Minister of Worship. Additionally, we have a praise band, praise teams, and regularly do large scale productions and concerts. We also have the Lexington Worship Arts Academy where children come to learn how to play instruments.
We are seeking someone with experience, education, and one who can add value to the ministry team. We value team work and self-starters. We are a church that is strong in evangelism, missions, and small groups.
Lexington in Henderson County, Tennessee is a great place to live. We are proud of our Level 5 Schools both in the city and in the county and the access we have to do ministry in our schools. We have great businesses, low crime, lots of jobs, and a growing economy. We are located 1 hour 45 minutes East of Memphis, 1 hour and 45 minutes West of Nashville, and 30 minutes East of Jackson, TN.
