LaSalle Network has partnered with a global beauty brand that is immediately seeking a
Demand Planner. The
Demand Planner will be responsible for optimizing our client’s supply chain by providing demand forecasting, analytical reporting and strategic insights. This is a remote role.
Demand Planner Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and steady 12 to 18 month forecasts for product demand at both SKU and account levels, aiming to minimize forecast fluctuations, which helps in avoiding shortages or surplus inventory and improves financial efficiency
- Collaborate with partners to continuously improve forecasting models, focusing on accuracy and adjusting plans as necessary. Analyze data comprehensively and contribute to S&OP Customer Demand Review meetings, facilitating discussions on forecast updates
- Work closely with various teams, such as Sales and Marketing, to gather insights and ensure alignment between demand forecasts and business strategies. Understand customer plans to validate forecasts and ensure they reflect business goals accurately
- Support the launch of new products by verifying demand forecasts and ensuring smooth integration into the supply chain. Manage changes in SKU numbers and product phase-out strategies in coordination with the brand team
- Provide leadership with insights on assortment and planning opportunities. Identify products with high or low sales velocity and develop action plans with the team to address them
Demand Planner Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in business management, logistics, supply chain or related field
- 3+ years proven experience in retail demand planning
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and strategic thinking skills
- CPG experience is preferred
