Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Data Engineer. Work directly with customers in a technical role to help ensure smooth adoption of the Crucible platform and develop cutting-edge solutions using the Crucible platform
·    Spec, build, test and deploy customized mission-focused applications based on customer requirements
·    Participate in deployment and implementation planning with customers
·    Directly assist with installation and setup of the Crucible platform
·    Produce customer documentation to support custom applications
·    Contribute technical content and tutorials to product documentation
·    Familiarity with distributed systems like Hadoop, HBase / Accumulo, Docker, Kubernetes and Kafka
·    Experience with source code management tools including GitHub / GitLab 
·    Experience with Java, architecting ETL data pipelines supporting data-driven applications, utilizing REST and JSON
·    Familiarity with systems for data routing and transformation such as NiFi
·    Systems-level understanding of Machine Learning concepts and technology
·    Experience writing scripts using Linux shell, Python, or similar scripting language
·    Experience working with Cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
·    Experience working with Linux to install and maintain a distributed computing infrastructure
·    Responsible for demonstrating SAIC solutions to customers and partners
·    Deliver customer training

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

• US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI Clearance
• B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline 
• Requires 5-10 years of experience with implementation and understanding of Network Engineering principles in a professional environment.  
• Requires 5-10 years of experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of network architectures.
