About the Team

The Customer Experience (Marketing) team works to showcase our brand through the lens of expertise and love. They work to provide a personalized experience for our consumers backed by best-in-class, data-driven marketing capabilities. The Customer Experience team focuses across 4 departments including, Marketing, Creative, Communications, and our Loyalty & CRM team. Everyone brings their own point of view to create a unique experience for the pets and pet parents.

Hybrid Position:

This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart’s FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs.

About the Job:

The Audience Analyst will work on the Database and Audience Management Team with two other Audience Analysts and one Database Analysts, as well as a team of CRM Managers, Campaign Specialists and HTML Developers. This position focuses on audience selection/structure, targeting and personalization of direct marketing campaigns across channels such as Email, SMS and Push.

Responsibilities:

• Build and support consistent audience selection logic and follow PetSmart business rules, customer contact preferences and message prioritization across campaigns
• Ensure audience data is loaded and accurate across all data consuming platforms (SFMC, Offer Systems)
• Partner with Database Analysts to test new data, targeting and personalization capabilities
• Ensure secure/encrypted delivery of data is followed across all delivery of data
• Partner with Audience Analysts and CRM Managers to ensure CRM Targeting Calendar aligns with campaign goals and audience selection logic
• Regularly review existing audience building processes and identify room for efficiencies
• Weekly email reporting on engagement and deliverability

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing or related field
• Minimum 2 years of CRM Database, email marketing and/or direct marketing experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience utilizing audience/segmentation/campaign building tools such as Hightouch, Unica, Salesforce Audience Builder, Salesforce Automation Studio
• Experience utilizing Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel
• Experience utilizing SQL to analyze customer data
• Expertise in managing multiple and competing demands and delivering against aggressive goals

Preferred:

• Experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Snowflake, Databricks
