The Flexographic Pressroom Print Support and Training Specialist supports the flexographic pressroom by providing press operators assistance with achieving print and color quality expectations. This position will determine and champion new technology for continuous improvement of flexo print process and quality, as well as, lead and facilitate formal training of narrow web press operators and narrow web press operator recruits. In addition, the Print Support Specialist will provide leadership for the plate making, plate mounting and ink mixing group to support efficient workflow, manage materials and supplies, and trouble-shoot prep issues.

Flexographic Pressroom Print Support and Training Specialist- 1st and 2nd shift available.

Some of the duties include:

• Provide daily managerial leadership for plating, mounting, and ink mixing teams.
• Pressroom Print Support: Help press-operators trouble-shoot issues to achieve print quality objectives Color Control Management: Establishing pressroom practices that facilitate consistency matching color across multiple presses and multiple shifts. Liaison with pre-press to continuously improve plate-to-press process including maintenance of anilox and other press tooling.
• Facilitate formal operator training programs, lead their implementation and manage new and existing press operator training success.

Some key must-haves are:

• 10 years experience in Narrow Web Flexographic Print Production (required).
• 5 years experience as Narrow Web Flexographic Press Operator (required).
• Experience supporting color control and print quality in a production environment utilizing multiple presses across multiple shifts.
• Ability to actively train existing and new personnel on Narrow Web Flexographic Press Operation and Print Production (hands on and classroom settings)
• Ability to lead small teams and manage projects to completion
• Ability to manage plate room consumables and interact with vendors
• Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking production environment.
