DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre- defined architectural specifications. Position requires coordination with third party vendors and managing vendor products. Position also requires an understanding of physical security domain along with video monitoring platforms and intrusion detection platforms. Understand vendor product architecture and drive on-premise installations as well as cloud implementations. Applies analytics on the past data like incidents and usage patterns for predicting issues and takes proactive actions. Defines and drives adoption of a best in class monitoring frameworks to accomplish end to end flow monitoring and noiseless alerting. Design and implement automations for routine processes. Support the day-to-day maintenance with a focus on reducing toil or technical debt of the applications while maintaining a high degree of system availability. Perform in-depth research and identify sources of production issues. Identify efficiencies and ways to improve processes. Build monitors and alerts to ensure timely notifications on the health of critical systems. Ensuring automated jobs run as scheduled and logs are completed in accordance with established procedures. Manage the application risk to ensure the security and resiliency of the application are in compliance with firm and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Consultant - Technology, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Consultant - Technology, or related occupation.

Job Location: 1111 Polaris Parkway, Columbus, OH 43240. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
