Senior Property Accountant – Commercial Real Estate

A tier-1 commercial real estate company is seeking a talented Senior Property Accountant to join their Property Accounting team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting, the Senior Property Accountant will play a key financial reporting role across their entire portfolio and work closely with the finance team, lenders and owners. Working with Asset Management, Fund Accounting, Corporate Finance and Asset Management, the Senior Property Accountant take full ownership of portfolio’s GL and Reporting functions

Responsibilities

• Build out budgets and cash flow projections, while analyzing information and comparing actuals to budgets and assist with variance analysis
• Perform acquisition and disposition accounting, including prorations and reconciliations
• Coordinate and review CAM reconciliations and assist with monthly loan draws
• Manage and review property reconciliations for monthly, quarterly and annual closing packages
• Daily cash management duties, including vendor payments, expense reimbursements and monthly bank reconciliations

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related degree
• 3+ years of large volume commercial property accounting experience
• Highly technical across Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Yardi Voyager and/or AvidXchange experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills and passion for the commercial real estate sector
