Job Title: Murex Consultant
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 Months

As a Consultant/Senior Consultant, you are an expert at contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in supporting Murex applications which is used for equity, commodities, IRD and FX Cash trading desks as well as the market risk and finance departments.
You will define the problem, propose, and refine the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration, and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability-building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership and escalate issues when needed and see them through to resolution within agreed SLAs.
- Full compliance with internal procedures as defined by Audit/Compliance must be monitored.
- Mentor team members to improve both their technical and personnel skills.
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Financial Services in Murex MXML/Workflows
- Expertise in Backoffice functions like payment processing, settlement & confirmation
- Ideally minimum 5 years' experience on application support role
- Workflows configuration, development of Interfaces with internal and external system in eco system
- Sound knowledge of Murex Architecture and Workflow tasks and Objects
- Prior experience of having implemented exchange workflows and BO workflows
- Experience working with Unix and SQL queries
- Experience on equity, commodities, IRD and FX Cash Asset classes
- Basic Knowledge of Pre-Trade and Murex Datamart
- Analysis of Business Requirement documents and creation of technical design documents
- Experience resolving Incidents and delivering optimization and improvements.
- Knowledge of Release and configuration management process
- Experience with Agile/DevOps framework is a bonus.
- Strong team player skills and taking ownership of tasks
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; while remaining detail-oriented and team-oriented
- Strong Stakeholder management skills, excellent communication skills written and oral can communicate at a technical and business stakeholder level
- Experience in working in a fast pace high pressure environment
Preferred:
- Exposure to FO Modules of Murex - E-Tradepad, Simulation, Viewers, Pre-Trade Workflow, Market Data, Dynamic Tables, P&L Notepad, FDI Templates, Blotters, Risk Matrices, Livebook etc.
- Understanding on Trade Pricing, Valuation Models, Risk Management, Sensitivities/Greeks etc.
- Understanding of pricing, P&L calculations, booking sequence, etc
