Sales and Operation Manager

 

** This role is a split of 80% Operations Manager and 20% Sales

 

Essential Functions / Responsibilities
The Sales and Operations Manager will provide direction and assistance to work group of Service Technicians in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. In the second part of your role, you will promote and sell our complete pure water/ultrapure treatment systems to light industry clients in the San Diego, California region. Additionally you will support clients in the region for expansions, additions, water conservation projects, and account management that puts you on the client’s team. That offering includes our Service Deionization through to our standard reverse osmosis systems. Veolia Water Technologies and Solutions (VWTS) carry one of the broadest product lines in our industry. In this role you will develop and execute growth plans for the assigned region. Collaboration with adjacent team members is a must for this role. A successful candidate will be skilled in communication, lead with technical competency, and win with integrity.

· Coordinate and provide technical, quality and leadership to the Service Team to meet quality, schedule and cost goals
· Provide ongoing support in scheduling resources, technical leadership and facilitating the flow of equipment to meet customer requirements
· Assist Leaders with overall decision making in areas of process improvement and/or production and/or service to make appropriate resource decisions (manpower, equipment, methods) to facilitate the flow of equipment and customer service process
· Support process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, improve inventory turns and reduce manufacturing losses
· Direct/manage the activities of the Service Team and participate in Team activities to meet identified goals
· Perform administrative duties to support the business, including timecards, labor vouchers, self-audits, absence reviews, and missing time corrections, etc.
· Coordinate all first line activities (i.e. Methods, Production & Quality Control) to assure the meeting of production schedules and customer satisfaction, cost goals, and maintaining the highest standards of quality
· Coach and counsel employees regarding individual performance and development needs
· Practice sound human relations and communications skills in order to motivate the assigned work force
· Review production/service orders and implement production/service schedules
· Analyze and diagnose equipment problems and take corrective measures to minimize downtime and interruption of schedules
· Achieve highest safety levels in the plant
· Employ Six Sigma rigors to all functions within the Team
· Mentor and motivate team in safety, quality and productivity/service improvements for the Service Team 

·Interface with Regional Sales Manager frequently to leverage their expertise to create value proposition for customer

·In conjunction with our regional Sales Manager you will routinely provide accurate opportunity and sales forecasts

·Working with your Team Leaders you will develop and execute a comprehensive growth plan for the assigned territory and markets

·You will be responsible for account ownership of ongoing and supplemental business as well as renewals

·In collaboration with our Sales Manager and Sales Team leader you will understand and communicate customer's needs, qualify leads, and work closely with all stakeholders to provide competitive solutions for our customers

·Proactively drive the SDI product line to the overall potential customer base and provide equipment leads to Regional Sales Manager

·Provide prompt and responsive service to sales clients in respective areas

·Support company's new product launch campaigns and gather market information for company's new developments

·Make integrity a main driver for all activities

·Travel regularly and frequently within the territory

·Deliver results meeting goals on revenue and bookings, and fulfil other goals and objectives

·Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a manufacturing role)
