Job Title: Remote Life Pricing Actuary

Location: Hybrid, Bloomington, IL

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: As per Exp.

We are seeking a skilled Remote Life Pricing Actuary with a minimum of 5 years of life pricing experience to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines, while also communicating results to management and working towards actuarial designation from the Society of Actuaries. The ideal candidate will be proficient in actuarial pricing models, possess strong technical and communication skills, and have experience working with Life and/or Annuity products. Most incumbents will have completed most, if not all, coursework for attaining Associateship (ASA) (5 - 6 exams/online courses). The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of life pricing experience and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in actuarial practice.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize actuarial pricing models and complete work independently.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines, including contracts and annual testing such as illustration regulations.
• Communicate results to management verbally, in writing, or in presentation form, and document work according to actuarial standards of practice.
• Work towards actuarial designation from the Society of Actuaries.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of life pricing experience working with Life and/or Annuity products required.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Most incumbents have completed most, if not all, coursework for attaining Associateship (ASA) (5 - 6 exams/online courses).
• Typically requires 7 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.

Non-negotiable Requirements:

1. Minimum of 5 years of life pricing experience working with Life and/or Annuity products.
2. Experience working with Life and/or Annuity products.
3. Most incumbents have completed most, if not all, coursework for attaining Associateship (ASA) (5 - 6 exams/online courses).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Previous experience with life pricing and/or annuity products is desirable
