Job description
RWJBH is seeking a Clinical Care Technician for 4 Tower - Post Intensive Care Unit I at our New Brunswick campus,
This is a part -time, evening position 3p-1130p ; 24 hours/week,
4 Tower- Post Intensive Care Unit-I is a busy 32 bed cardiac unit,
We see a range of telemetry, medical-surgical, and intermediate care patient acuities,
Types of patients we care for include post cardiac procedures, sepsis, dialysis, heart failure, and respiratory failure,
Requirements/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required,
American Heart Association CPR required,
Every other weekend requirement
Job Expectations/Role:
- Taking vital signs: blood pressure, respiratory rate, temperature, blood sugars, and pulse oxygen
- Performing delegated tasks received by Registered Nurse- RN
- Performing daily patient wellness and hygiene care:
o Daily bathing
o Routine toileting
o Repositioning
o Ambulating
o Oral care
- Feeding patients
- Change bed linens
- Setting up patient rooms for admissions
- Phlebotomy: collecting labs
- EKG
- Answering call bell/patient needs
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required within one year of hire,
Candidates who do not possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent will be provided the opportunity to enroll in a GED/HSEA program at time of hire as a condition of employment,
A hired candidate will be provided one year from date of hire to successfully complete a GED program and obtain their HSEA,
