Job description

Microprobes for Life Science, located in Gaithersburg MD, is looking for an energetic individual to join our production team. We are a leading global provider of implantable neural microelectrodes, multi-channel arrays, and related systems with 30 years of experience.

General Job Description: Electronic Assembly Technician will assist the company's production team in the assembly and fabrication of our products in accordance with all production drawings and documents. The position will utilize various types of small tools and machinery, involves several techniques that require the ability to work under a microscope, and requires knowledge of soldering skills. This employee will also be required to do any and all tasks deemed necessary by his/her supervisor for the safe and efficient operation of the company. This is an entry level position, and relevant experience is preferred but not required.

General Skills/Requirements of the Position:
- Ability to Multi-task and meet deadlines
- Background in any skilled craft or fabrication work preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Technical or trade school preferred
- Soldering or small metalworking skills required
- Bench top assembly experience preferred
- Experience working under microscopes or high magnification magnifying glass preferred
- Ability to use forceps and other small hand tools required
- Demonstrate good hand/eye coordination
- Demonstrate good manual dexterity
- Understand schematic design sheets
- Ability to carry out quality inspection of products after training

Salary: $ 18.00 22.00 Per Hour
