Job description

Lighthouse Lab Services is working with a top tier health system in Virginia that is in need of a Laboratory Billing and Compliance Coordinator. 

Responsibilities: 

• Provides management and leadership for day-to-day activities associated with the laboratories Compliance Program.
• The Compliance Manager has direct responsibility for billing and results compliance, billing work queues, coding, reference lab results entry, test build compliance.
• Develops laboratory compliance education and ensures team members complete by expected timelines.
• Partners with Revenue Cycle, Finance, HIM, HIT, Compliance, and laboratories throughout the system. 
• Performs laboratory test audits to support organization and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrates and regularly monitors compliance with approved programs, budgets and fiscal activities.
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
• Compiles, edits and reports on complex issues relating to Medical Center programs or activities.
• Serves as a primary resource providing guidance, direction and training to other personnel.
• Manages team members.

Salary and Shift:

• Salary Range: $76,000.00 - $122,000.00 Annually
• Day shift; Monday - Friday

Minimum Requirements :

Education: Bachelor’s Degree with completion of a NAACLS approved MLS/CLS/HTL/CT program preferred OR Bachelor’s in a science or business-related field

Experience: 3 years of experience in laboratory science, laboratory compliance preferred OR billing, finance, accounting or coding.

License/Certification: MT/MLS/HTL or categorical ASCP or equivalent required OR Coding Certification or other related certification preferred, i.e. ADML, CBCS, or CHC.
