Principal duties of the successful Traditional Energy Market Manager include leadership roles in strategy and execution From a strategic perspective, the candidate will develop a Plate Group Market Strategy utilizing deep vertical expertise in Traditional Energy markets and by identifying and driving profitable growth opportunities for Nucors Plate Group. Deep expertise will include knowledge of the markets drivers, its customers, products, and our competitors within the space; the ability to align enterprise Marketing and Solutions teams with Plate Group efforts; working with our sales teammates to drive opportunities to Nucors Plate Group; and working with our leadership team to supply commercial components of capital expenditure projects. From an execution perspective, the successful candidate will lead the effort in Firm Price Agreements and Projects by working with District Sales Managers and Regional Sales Managers in tactics, pricing, Project Hub, and leveraging Enterprise Solutions. Critically, the Market Manager will utilize their role in strategy and execution to assist Regional Sales Managers in the growth, development, and coaching of District Sales Managers.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or related field from an accredited university or 4+ years of equivalent metals or traditional energy industry experience
Up to 50% travel in support of Nucors Plate Group to represent the Nucor team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced problem-solving skills
Extensive computer knowledge and proficiency in programs including but not limited to PowerBI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, and Excel
Proven ability to utilize analytical/statistical tools.
5+ years manufacturing industry experience
Carbon Steel Plate product knowledge and experience
Familiarity with carbon sequestration and hydrogen storage
Knowledge of Project Business
Demonstrated ability to Coach and develop followership with a team
