Job Summary:

The Kitchen Exhaust Service Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing exhaust systems and ventilation units in commercial kitchens.  Overnight shift 7pm-4a with shift differential $22.70 per hour, Day shift 7am-4pm 20.75

Your Typical Day

• Clean and certify kitchen hood systems by power washing
• Clean rooftop exhaust fans and surrounding areas
• Installation of auxiliary items including access panels, hinge kits, and grease containment systems
• Provide exceptional customer service.

Skills and Qualifications:

• One year of experience in the maintenance and repair of kitchen exhaust and ventilation systems preferred.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and colleagues.• Good time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.• Willingness to work flexible hours and be on call for emergency repairs.• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and climb ladders to access equipment.• Working in tight spaces and navigating around kitchen equipment.• Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods of time.

Working Conditions:

• Mostly working indoors at client's commercial kitchens.• Working in loud and noisy environments.• Exposure to heat, fumes, and grease from cooking equipment.• Occasional exposure to heights while working on top of roofs or exhaust fans.
