Alaska Village Electric Cooperative is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Logistics and Receiving Coordinator to join our team. From handling the receiving and storage to coordinating transportation, your role will be vital in supporting our mission to deliver reliable power to our communities.
AVEC is a member-driven generation and distribution utility serving residents in 59 locations throughout Alaska with its headquarters in Anchorage, AK. The communities that Alaska Village Electric Cooperative serves receive power via small, isolated grids that utilize diesel generation and renewable sources.
As a Logistics and Receiving Coordinator , you'll be coordinating transportation needs for materials, supplies, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery while optimizing costs and adhering to shipping regulations. You'll navigate the challenges of receiving, storing, and distributing construction and maintenance materials with precision and efficiency. Collaborating closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, you'll devise strategic plans for storage, dispatch, and safekeeping of materials, revolutionizing processes to maximize effectiveness. You'll oversee the proper receipt of all materials arriving at our headquarters and process urgent deliveries promptly. The Logistics and Receiving Coordinator will assist with various warehouse duties, including receiving, stocking, shipping, and inventory management.

We offer a comprehensive pay and benefit package. Highlights include starting pay expected between $29.48 and $34.59 per hour. 401K Plan with Employer Match and Retirement Pension Plan (Defined Benefit, Employer paid pension). Paid leave (PTO) starting at 21 days per year and up to 6 weeks maximum. We also offer 8 paid Holidays plus 2 Floating Holidays and a Birthday Holiday.
