We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Coding Assistant to join our Coding Services team. This is a great opportunity for individuals with a CPC-A certification looking to gain hands-on experience in a medical coding environment.

This job can be performed 100% remotely and out of state candidates will be considered.

The Medical Coding Assistant will:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of office experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Completion of an accredited coding certification, i.e. CPC-A is required. Must be proficient with MS Office products and possess high level data entry skills- ensuring accuracy with speed. The ability to learn and develop proficiency in the use of CU Medicine computer applications including, but not limited to- Centricity Business and EPIC is essential to success. Familiarity with medical insurance billing, medical terminology as well as ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills are key characteristics. Must be able to problem solve, effectively prioritize tasks, and follow instruction provided by leadership.
