Job description
The Department of Anesthesiology provides state-of-the-art care supporting USC surgical, pain and critical care patients. Behind the success of the Department's clinical service is a unique and highly-talented administrative team contributing to the Department's on-going development.
The Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the team.
The Financial Analyst will perform the following duties.
1. Prepare weekly visual reports on OR scheduling efficiency and utilization.
2. Generate regular reports for business operations, such as faculty vacation tracking, monthly compensation tracking, etc.
3. Process accounting journal entries as assigned.
4. Monitor and analyze Department financial performance and payroll reconciliation on a regular basis. Report to management about the findings and opportunities for improvements.
5. Extract large amount of data from organization’s systems. Integrate data sets and perform comprehensive data. Compare results overtime and identify areas for improvements.
6. Support the other team members with ongoing projects.
7. Participate in meetings and support administrative functions for the Department.
8. Use sophisticate analytical tools, such as Tableau, to process large data sets. Expertise in Excel data analysis functions, such as structuring formulas, to perform ad-hoc projects.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Required Work Experience: 1 year
Preferred Education: Master's in Business, Accounting, Finance, Data Analysis
Preferred Work Experience: 2 years

The hourly rate range for this position is $35.00 - $36.50.
