Product Manager – Labels The Product Manager position holds a key role in the Ti Americas organization by supporting the Business Director, while also working in an independent, self-directed manner within identified segments of the Food Packaging & Technical Films Business.
The Product Manager will assist the Business Director in providing strategic and tactical leadership for the Food Packaging and Technical Film product portfolio within our targeted market segments, while interacting extensively across multiple Ti business functions (Sales, Mfg., R&D, Supply Chain, Finance).
Responsibilities: - Provide leadership, direction, and support to the functional organizations for appropriate alignment to the business strategy and market development execution.
- Member of regional and global business teams to support specific areas of involvement.
- Alignment of the product portfolio with strategic market and profitability target.
- Leading specific product & market development initiatives to support the business strategy.
- Developing, executing, and communicating product positioning in conjunction with Marketing Communications and Sales.
- Managing the addition/deletion of products across functions and in support of market/customer interaction.
- Oversight of product specifications for daily alignment with market fit-for-use.
- Development & execution of business strategy & key objectives.
- Prioritization of business activities to achieve team objectives.
- Coordination of activity and interaction within the Ti functional groups.
- Assist in formulating and implementing market strategies.
- Coordinate or assist with the market analysis of existing and growth market segments.
- Coordinate or direct market research to support strategic activities in identified market growth areas.
- Assist in developing marketing promotional/advertising media, as well as internal sales and tools.
- Coordination of key product transfer activity to support global alignment or regional supply initiatives.
- Leadership role in prioritization & timing of product and customer qualifications
- Active involvement with Mfg. and R&D for specifications & adherence to global & regional expectations
- Close coordination with Sales, Manufacturing & Supply Chain for tracking and customer/application qualifications and completion of transfer programs.
- Active involvement & support of resin substitution initiatives to support product supply.
- Stewardship of the product quality conformance within the market areas of application.
- Ensures product issue investigations are completed to satisfy our internal & external customers.
- Daily involvement, as needed, in the commercial product supply and customer service activity in conjunction with Supply Chain, Sales, and Manufacturing functions.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements: - Education: Minimum college education of a bachelor’s degree, preferably a Bachelor of Science (BS).
- 3-5 years of experience with notable accomplishments within Operational Mgmt., Sales, Marketing, Market Development, or other strategic commercial areas.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing technical assignments.
- Demonstrated successful leadership through influence accomplishments.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to interface effectively with all levels of management at both the plant and corporate levels.
- Must maintain a high energy level and the ability to handle and manage stressful situations.
- Effectively use computer technologies in time pressure situations.
- Broad product and market knowledge and perspectives.
- Market development capabilities.
- Ability to assemble market information, assess it, and develop a path forward.
- Ability to interact with multifunctional internal & external customers.
- Technical learning aptitude.
- Native English speaker – Bilingual in Spanish a huge advantage!
- 30% travel availability (Domestic and International).
