THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a qualified Procurement Manager to join our finance team. In this position, the ideal candidate will spearhead the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to on-time delivery, as well as provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes. This is a hands-on role that requires maintaining all procurement master data and ensuring adherence to the company’s policies and procedures.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)- Implement standard procurement procedures and policies for the company; scale procurement team to support Sciens’ fast-paced growth.
- Work with local procurement personnel to ensure adherence to Sciens standards.
- Coordinate the purchasing process, ensuring that all purchases are cost-effective and meet the company’s quality standards.
- Develop and maintain procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and requisitions.
- Perform all procurement and contracting activities, including pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation, and preparation of contracts.
- Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.
- Become super user for procurement related processes in Microsoft D365, including managing vendors and price books.
- Consolidate large detailed and complex databases for business analysis.
- Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls, and processes.
- Communicate with key external and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with pertinent laws, regulations, codes, policies, and standards.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- At least five years of experience in procurement or supply chain administration.
- Experience with Microsoft ERP systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate with other departments, customers, vendors, etc.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
- Ability to travel on a minimal basis as needed.
