Job description
BLT is seeking an experienced and dynamic Community Associate to join our luxury community located in Jersey City, NJ. The Community Associate provides superior customer service, possesses detailed knowledge of company policy and procedures, and performs essential functions as they relate to the tenant and prospective tenant experience in the building.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Community Associate:
- Engages in community activities and effectively represents the community and BLT’s local interests by fostering productive community relationships with our residents
- Building brand loyalty and achieving resident retention goals by ensuring that the resident experience is consistently stellar
- Contributing to desired occupancy levels by conducting informative and personalized tours of the community that result in new leases
- Promptly answers phone calls, requests, and concerns, while responding to all resident inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Assists residents with move-in and move-out procedures
- Prepares incident reports pertaining specifically to resident issues, in compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards
- Develops, produces, and coordinates resident communications including but not limited to newsletters, surveys, and lease violation notices
- Reviews resident feedback with upper management team and ensures appropriate corrective action is taken promptly
- Facilitates professional and friendly atmosphere that exceeds resident expectations
- Working Weekends when prospective residents are out looking for their new home – three to four weekends per month with two days off during the week
Requirements of the Position of Community Associate:
- 1+ years' experience within property management, leasing, or resident services required
- Must demonstrate commitment to deliver outstanding customer service
- Must be highly visible, approachable
- Self-motivated, trustworthy, and works with limited supervision
- Ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- High school diploma or GED, College education preferred
