Overview

Pediatrix Primary + Urgent Care Practice Medical Director Opportunity in Houston!

Responsibilities

We are looking to hire a passionate and energetic pediatrician to serve as practice medical director for pediatric primary + urgent care facilities throughout Houston.

• 11 clinics located throughout the Houston area
• Practice responsibilities:
• Supervise, manage, recruit, and train clinical personnel, including physicians and mid-level providers.
• Ensure coverage needs and facilitate group meetings to assess physician performance and promote ownership within the practice.
• Listed as Lab Director on all CLIA waived certificates.

• Quality management:
• Assist with clinical practice guidelines and quality improvement initiatives.
• Review care quality, clinical issues, and customer satisfaction.
• EMR utilization and updates

• Represent the Company effectively to community groups, hospitals, universities, and others.
• Assist in evaluating and developing new programs and recruiting new physicians.
• Schedule and administrative time:
• Primarily administrative position, working clinical shifts when available or necessary.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Pediatrician with at least three years of experience
• Demonstrated clinical excellence and patient care skills
• Strong communication and leadership skills, including writing and public speaking abilities, and ability to interact with hospital staff and other professionals.
