Job Summary:
The USED CAR RECON NEW CAR PREP TECH at Ilderton Dodge Chrysler Jeep RAM is a skilled technician responsible for preparing used and new vehicles for sale. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that all vehicles meet the dealership's quality standards before being displayed to customers. This is a full-time, contract position located at our dealership in High Point, North Carolina.
Compensation & Benefits:
PAID INTERVIEW / In the shop test run.
The compensation for this position is $500 to $1000 per week, paid semi-monthly. Employees will also have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth inspections of used and new vehicles, identifying any mechanical or cosmetic issues that need to be addressed before the vehicle can be sold
- Complete repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, utilizing specialized tools and equipment
- Detail the interior and exterior of vehicles, ensuring they are clean and presentable
- Test drive vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition
- Keep detailed records of work performed and communicate any issues or delays to management
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols and guidelines
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 Prior experience working on vehicles, preferably in a dealership setting
- Strong knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work full-time, including weekends and holidays if needed
