A Brief Overview:
Warehouse Managers play a vital role in ensuring excellent customer service for our retail partners. They are responsible for warehouse operations, inventory control, and leading a team of warehouse associates. They implement Safelite's best practices while continuously seeking new ideas to improve our operations. As our business evolves, we need someone who is flexible and adaptable.
What You Will Do:
PEOPLE LEADERSHIP - Hire, coach, train, and develop warehouse associates, providing feedback on job performance.
- Engage and inspire the warehouse team to create a positive work environment and perform their best.
OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT - Oversee warehouse, inventory, fleet, and material handling.
- Reduce warehouse breakage and shrinkage and provide expertise to stores and inventory control.
Customer Experience - Collaborate with retail partners to ensure efficient operations and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Business Strategy Implementation - Set the strategy for the warehouse and communicate it to the team.
- Inspire the workforce to commit to the strategy and take actions necessary for its achievement.
P&L Management - Manage the warehouse's profit and loss, budget allocation, and operational expenses.
Health, Compliance, and Safety - Ensure compliance with national, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, CLD, DOT, and MHE).
- Identify and address risky behaviors and maintain a safe working environment in the warehouse.
Other Responsibilities - Perform assigned duties and comply with all policies and standards.
Minimum
Qualifications
:
- High School Diploma
- 4-6 years of leadership and supervision experience (Preferred)
Skills and Abilities:
- Forklift certification (preferred)
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (preferred)
- Ability to travel up to 5%
- Ability to work at the warehouse location
- Ability to operate a company vehicle safely and courteously, adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to occasionally lift windshields, up to 35 pounds
- Must weigh under 300 pounds to operate certain equipment
Additional Skills:
- Change Management: Effectively communicate and manage changes within the workforce.
- Analyzing Data and Trends: Utilize spreadsheets and reports to address warehouse performance.
- Policy and Regulation: Provide guidance and training on laws, regulations, and safety policies.
