We are committed to providing exceptional administrative services to hospitals, medical groups, and physicians in the vibrant Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties.

Position/Job Summary:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and implementing various accounting procedures in alignment with company policies, local, state, and federal laws and regulations. This exciting opportunity is based in the scenic Ryan Ranch business park, offering a unique blend of professional growth and a picturesque work environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accurate recording of revenue, payroll, and financial statements.
Conduct monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts, including verification of bank balances, payroll accruals, and accrued liabilities.
Perform spot checks on income and expense accounts for consistency and reasonableness.
Actively contribute to annual budget and forecasting processes.
Provide support to other accounting staff, assisting with various bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities.
Verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files.
Summarize details in separate ledgers or computer files and transfer data to the general ledger.
Reconcile and balance accounts.
Compile reports to showcase statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other vital operational metrics.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in performing complex analyses and creating Excel models.
Credentials/Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required, or at least four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Healthcare accounting experience is a plus.
Physical Demands:

Repetitive hand motions for handling various help desk requests.
Frequent standing, sitting, and reaching with hands and arms.
Occasional walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 30lb.
Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:

Predominantly "in-person" at our corporate office and client locations.
Occasional remote or WFH work may be allowed.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens, and minimal risk of radiation.
Moderate noise level in the work environment.
Fast-paced and high-pressure environment; adaptability to patient volumes and office tasks is key.
