Job Summary The Occupational Health Clinic at Denver Health Medical Center is recruiting for a PRN/Intermittent physician to join our team. The physician will prevent, diagnose, and treat work-related injuries and illnesses, as well as evaluate and manage environmental hazards that can affect human health.
Essential Functions :
- Conduct medical evaluations and examinations of employees to determine fitness for duty, work-related medical conditions, and provide medical treatment when necessary. (30%)
- Advise employers and employees on ways to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses, including ergonomics, safety measures, and occupational health regulations. (20%)
- Conduct workplace assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and health risks and recommend corrective actions to minimize these risks. (10%)
- Investigate workplace illnesses and injuries, including performing diagnostic tests and interpreting medical data to determine the cause and extent of the illness or injury. (20%)
- Manage cases of work-related illness or injury, including coordinating care with other healthcare professionals and ensure compliance with workers' compensation laws. (10%)
- Evaluate and manage environmental hazards in the workplace, such as exposure to toxins, pollutants, and infectious agents. (5%)
- Provide education and training to employees and employers on workplace health and safety topics. (5%)
Education :
- Doctorate Degree Medical degree from an accredited institution.
Required and - Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate Program Board certification in occupational medicine, preventive medicine, or a related field. Required
Work Experience :
- No previous experience required.
Licenses :
- MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required and
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
- Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
- Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
- Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.
- Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems.
- Performs in a tactful and professional manner.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Computer skills required.
- Computer skills preferred.

Salary $234,000.00 - $268,300.00 / yr
