This position is responsible for:
- Conducting market research, customer experience research, regulatory surveys, and other ad-hoc research.
- Monitoring of customer perceptions/feedback and market performance primarily through corporate-wide research studies, departmental requests, and other ad-hoc research inquiries.
- Managing vendor relationships as they relate to ad-hoc research requests, NCQA/CMS surveys, and required BCBSA surveys.
- Assessing requests for surveys/research and makes recommendations on the best options for how to proceed.
- Administrative, tactical and analytical components of primary market research studies, as appropriate.
- Project management tasks, interpreting data, formulating reports and making recommendations/sharing implications based upon research findings.@@Managing a heavy research agenda.
- Serves as a consultant to all areas of the company on survey and research initiatives. Identifies the best options for uncovering the most suitable manner to obtain the information required for decision-making.
- Conducts and manages corporate wide market research to support corporate strategic plans. Serves as a participant for CBC in the BCBSA Market Research workgroup.
- Manages BCBSA, regulatory, Medicare, etc. surveys as required by association or law. Works with the BCBSA, vendors, and CBC stakeholders to ensure that all required surveys are done in compliance with the rules defined and results are shared appropriately, and timely.
- Supports/Assists with the AIP Member Satisfaction survey for Capital BlueCross.
- Supports the work of the Plan Performance Improvement Committee (PPIC)
- Supports multiple departments at Capital BlueCross, not limited to, but including Medicare, Retail, Sales, Strategy, Process Improvement, Clinical, and others with ad hoc survey requests. Reviews the request and makes a recommendation on the most efficient and effective way to gather the information. Serves as a consultant to multiple areas in the company to assist them achieving their research goals/objectives.
- Develops programs to capture, analyze, act and monitor feedback across consumer touch points when engaging with CBC and/or its subsidiary companies, to help drive business value (through use of the customer/market insights).
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and to develop, coordinate, and manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work well with internal and external customers, vendors, and stakeholders. Proficient in the use of pc-based software.
- Must possess excellent analytical aptitude.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency in the timely and accurate completion of all projects as assigned.
- Ability to develop, coordinate, and manage major projects and related activities, among multiples business lines and to manage project design, development and implementation with both internal and external audiences.
- Ability to use data/information to convey clear, concise research findings.
- Health care/health insurance market research knowledge is strongly preferred, related in particular to:
- Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) surveys
- QHP Enrollee Experience Surveys
- Voice of the Customer programs across various channels and methodologies
- Online market research communities (MROC or e-Communities)
- The ideal candidate will:
- Possess critical thinking, analytical skills, and be able to apply appropriate research methodologies.
- Be able to manage to deadlines, while having flexible thinking and problem-solving skills
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to understand/document business objectives.
- Assist with designing and developing questionnaires, discussion guides, and the like.
- Analyze/interpret data to communicate findings, and actionable insights.
- Project manage research initiatives, when applicable
- Be able to assess/estimate the appropriate level of effort/time needed to complete work as planned and manage time accordingly.
- Be able to work independently or collaboratively.
- Be detail-oriented and curious about what drives people's perceptions, opinions, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors.
Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of and experience working with statistical software (such as SPSS, or Advanced Excel)
- Moderate to high proficiency using Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of online survey software (specifically Qualtrics) including programming, data reporting and analysis, creating dashboards, and using CX suite/tools
Experience:
- 7 years of experience
- Prior experience within health care and/or payer systems, preferred.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Psychology, Marketing, Market Research or education that represents some combination of the above
Location:
Work Environment:
- Ability to work minimum 37.5 hours/week!!Office Setting/Remote available (location TBD)!!The ability to occasionally lift and or move up to 5 lbs.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and see.
- The employee must be able to work over 40 hours per week.
