Job description
A leading acute care hospital located in New York City is now seeking an experienced Nurse Director Behavioral Health to join their award-winning healthcare team.
This acute care facility is home to nearly 500 inpatient beds and serves as a prominent hub for medical care services in the surrounding communities. This organization provides a wide range of medical services to the community and is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare, fostering community engagement, and advancing medical knowledge through education and research.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Director Behavioral Health is responsible for managing all clinical and administrative functions of the psychiatric service line which includes a comprehensive psychiatric emergency program, an adult inpatient program, and an adolescent inpatient program. The Nurse Director will develop service line policies and procedures, monitor department performance, create tailored training programs, ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, lead quality control and performance improvement initiatives, and manage departmental fiscal budgets.
