Job description
We're a fast growing, full-service business advisory, tax, and accounting firm based in Ellicott City, Maryland providing services to businesses located throughout the United States and internationally. We are looking for a Tax Director who is experienced in overseeing tax engagements from start to finish including budgeting, staffing, planning, production, first-level or final review, total work quality, and profitability. - Oversee tax engagements from start to finish including budgeting, staffing, planning, production, first-level or final review, total work quality, and profitability
- Hold primary client responsibility, and, in some cases, oversee specific areas of client service
- Complete preparation of more complex tax returns, reviewing easy to medium returns and researching technical issues
- Aid business development with clients and non-clients to expand our practice, and beginning to develop prospects
- Concentrate on practice development with both prospective and existing clients
- 5+ years of Public Accounting experience
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex returns for S-Corporations, C-Corporations, LLCs, partnerships, Real Estate, Construction, etc.
- Strong working knowledge of tax law and other professional standards/regulations
- 160k-200k+ Base Salary
